Analysis of Customer Webinars Shows Increased Viewing Time,
Growing Audience Sizes, Growth of On-Demand Content
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – May 19, 2014 – ON24, Inc., the global leader in webinars and virtual communication solutions, today released the 2014 Webinar Benchmarks Report, which outlines key trends in webinars over the last year. The report offers actionable insight on how to make webinars more impactful – leading to increased engagement and, as a result, better sales leads.

The most intriguing finding in this year’s report is a 47% increase in average viewing time – from 38 minutes in 2010 to 56 minutes in 2013.
“With a great deal of information now being limited to 140 characters or short YouTube videos, the general assumption could be that our attention spans are shrinking drastically. But our data illustrates that this is clearly not the case,” Sharan said. “The fact that viewing time for our webinars has increased dramatically proves that when people are making serious purchasing decisions, they are more than willing to invest the extra time to educate themselves.” He added that this increase also shows that ON24 customers are developing even more targeted, relevant content, and it is resonating with their audiences in all stages of the buying cycle.
