MEDIA ALERT: ON24 Makes FAA’s Virtual Career Fair Fly

February 11th, 2014

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — February 11, 2014ON24, the global leader in webinars and virtual communication solutions, announced that the ON24 platform is powering the “Take Control of Your Career” virtual job fair being hosted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on February 12, 2014, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. EST. The FAA Virtual Career Fair is part of a new plan by the FAA to hire 6,200 air traffic controllers over the next five years in order to staff 315 air traffic control facilities, as well as the FAA’s national Command Center.

To add more depth and diversity to its controller hiring, the FAA is opening its recruitment process to the general public – even to those who don’t have air traffic control experience but who can meet the FAA’s requirements, such as the ability to work with numbers and function in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. The ON24-powered virtual environment will help the FAA serve this broader recruitment base by enabling Virtual Career Fair attendees to:

  • Visit a number of “booths” within the virtual environment to obtain information on the various FAA departments, programs and career opportunities
  • To chat directly and do “mini-interviews” with numerous FAA recruiters
  • To communicate and share tips with other job seekers in the virtual Networking Lounge
  • To download FAA career materials, such as brochures, Q&As and application and benefits forms, directly from the event

The FAA recommends that interested candidates visit the USAJOBS website at to build an online resume and to obtain information about FAA careers. Register for the Virtual Career Fair at
