ON24 and ASTD Survey Examines the Rise of the Remote Workplace
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — November 14, 2013 — ON24, Inc., the global leader in webcasting and virtual communication solutions, has released a report examining the rise of the virtual workplace, training for virtual leaders, and broader virtual leadership trends. The research reveals that while businesses are increasingly moving towards a dispersed and global workplace, they do not yet have the necessary infrastructure in place to support the virtual work model.
Based on a survey of more than 500 managers by the American Society of Training & Development (ASTD), the report finds that while a large percentage of organizations allows employees to work virtually, the right training and resources are rarely provided.
