May 3rd, 2010

International Fraud Expert Frank Abagnale to Keynote

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – May 3, 2010 – ON24, Inc., is hosting CA’s May Mainframe Madness 2010, the largest free mainframe-focused virtual event of its kind, which opens today and is scheduled for every business day in May. Frank Abagnale, fraud expert and subject of the feature film “Catch Me If You Can,” will present one of over 40 keynote presentations. “To my knowledge, this is the largest event of its kind to date. It is also the longest in duration—as far as I know, there has never been a month-long virtual show,” said Virtual Edge Institute Executive Director Michael Doyle.

The virtual event will focus on new ideas for IT professionals to drive business and organizational priorities. The event will feature keynote presentations on everything from debugging to new backup and recovery techniques and 150+ virtual sessions and demos, as well as technical sessions, customer case studies, on-demand education materials and various mainframe exhibits.

What:
A month-long online conference dedicated to mainframe IT, as well as how fraud and security breaches can be curbed.

Who:
The event is open to all mainframers (experienced and new) and IT professionals. Thousands of advance registrations from over 50 countries have already been received.

Keynote:
Frank Abagnale, subject of the feature film “Catch Me If You Can” and one of the world’s most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement, identity theft and secure documents. Following his five-year prison term, he was released after agreeing to help the FBI as an expert on fraud. For over 30 years he has consulted with hundreds of financial institutions, corporations and government agencies. His video presentation on fraud prevention will resonate with IT security pros as well as those who want to learn how to protect themselves and their organizations from identity theft and financial fraud.
