Introduction

As a global leader in forensic consulting and engineering, Envista Forensics relies on the ON24 Intelligent Engagement platform to power its extensive continuing education program — one of the company’s top channels for generating leads. The platform plays a key role in demand generation, helping the team deliver engaging, accredited experiences at scale. With access to real-time data and analytics, along with tools for branding, personalization, customization, and AI-powered content repurposing, Envista has been able to scale its program while delivering greater value to both prospects and clients.

Problem

Envista Forensics was using a legacy collaboration tool with limited capabilities, but the product was not able to handle the scale of their program – this included data and analytics limitations, issues with reliability during live webinars, lack of automation capabilities, and branding and customization. They were running webinars with more than 1,000 people attending each event that were rich in both content and engagement. Unfortunately, because of the lack of functionality they weren’t able to properly repurpose webinar content effectively or drive and track post-webinar engagement. There was also no clear way to personalize the experience or segment audiences in meaningful ways — a growing priority for the team.

Their program was particularly resource intensive as well as they run a continuing education program that requires an accreditation partner. After the webinar, they have to pull attendee accreditation information, polls, and engagements to confirm webinar attendance, and send to accreditation partners for processing.

Creating thought-leadership content off the back of the webinars was also a struggle. As Logan Fox, Digital Marketing Manager at Envista Forensics explained, “Our previous post-webinar content creation process was time-consuming and involved tedious manual work, limiting our ability to scale.”

Solution

Envista Forensics’ first step toward digital engagement innovation was to upgrade to ON24 and operationalize certification. To enhance the customer experience, the team streamlined the accreditation process so adjusters only have to enter their license information once a year for the entire webinar series. Using a landing page in Salesforce and combining attendance data from ON24, they can create reports that simplify accreditation and improve the experience for customers. Because ON24 integrates directly with Salesforce, all the engagement data captured during webinars is sent straight to sales for personalized follow-up automatically.

Meanwhile, consolidation of processes has given time back to the team and enabled new content programs to drive value across channels. With AI-powered ACE, they can repurpose webinars into written blogs, white papers, videos, case studies and more. “Our webinars feature highly technical insights from our engineers, and with ON24 and AI-powered ACE, we’re now able to efficiently transform their expertise into polished blog content”, said Fox. “It’s exponentially increased the volume of content we can produce—while cutting our creation time in half. Just as importantly, it’s opened new opportunities to re-engage customers with valuable insights and drive ongoing lead generation across channels.”

Through utilizing automatically created Key Moments videos, they’ve also been able to expand by creating a brand new program of video shorts that they’re sharing across social channels to expand their impact, all with incredibly efficient time investment.

More recently, Envista has started using ON24 to introduce segmentation and personalization into their webinars. For one recent session, the team designed a new, simplified console layout that segmented attendees by region — U.S. and Canada — and delivered tailored experiences within the same event. “We’ve always had regionalized experts and content,” said Katherine Newton, Project Lead, Client Engagement, “so it made sense to start personalizing based on location. It lets us market smarter and stay focused on the audience’s specific needs.” They also added take-action boxes with direct links to licensing tools and resources, giving attendees a seamless path to update their credentials in real-time.

This test was the starting point for a broader strategy. Envista is now planning to expand segmentation beyond region — tailoring future webinars based on personas, job functions, lines of business and audience interests. “I think the evolution is all about personalizing content — identifying who’s interested, getting that information into the right hands, and aligning it with the right workflows. ON24 gives us the data to do that. We can tailor the experience based on what people care about, and that allows us to market smarter.”

By delivering value to attendees through continuing education — and creating engagement opportunities before, during, and after events — the team has seen a 2x increase in attendance over the last three years.
