Oracle Public Sector | Virtual Show Environment

The Oracle Public Sector group worked with ON24 to create a Virtual Show to educate government, healthcare and education entities as well as contractors and vendors who do business within the public sector.

CHALLENGE:

Unite public sector audiences to learn and interact in virtual environment

The Oracle Public Sector group has a defined and targeted audience of government, healthcare and education markets. They also have strong relationships with the contractors and vendors who do business within this target market. The group wanted to generate greater awareness of the Oracle products and solutions designed for these end-user entities. The nature of this market, however, is that it is difficult for players outside of Washington DC to come to the area for live events, and cost-prohibitive for the Public Sector group to take its popular trade event on the road.

SOLUTION:

A customized Virtual Show environment

After achieving success with ON24 webcasts and virtual environments, the Oracle Public Sector group turned to ON24 to create a Public Sector Virtual Show, a one-day virtual event held live on March 6, 2013 and archived for on-demand access post event.

The Virtual Summit featured 15 live webcasts and other relevant public-sector resources that participants from around the country could access and download in a single, flexible and easy-to-navigate online destination. Vendor partners were invited to “exhibit” in the Virtual Exhibit hall; and customers, to be part of the presentations throughout the day. Visitors and vendors also capitalized on the networking and collaboration tools, engaging in live Q&A and group chats.

RESULTS:

Tremendous awareness, strong public sector interactions

The Virtual Show was successful in generating the desired awareness of Oracle Public Sector products and solutions, both through the live and on-demand presentations and resources. The platform also created a unified community environment where public sector participants could interact without the feel of vendor-driven, sales-focused event.

Finally, the Virtual Show was successful in demonstrating to the Oracle international Public Sector teams the powerful virtual solutions that they could easily leverage for their own regional target audiences, further increasing the event’s ROI.
