Sharing data between ON24 and HubSpot can be completed in just a few clicks but requires an account with Tibco Scribe. If you have not completed the Tibco Scribe integration process, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
If you have not completed the Tibco Scribe integration process, please do so now. To integrate HubSpot with ON24, simply log into Tibco Scribe, and click on the “Connections” section found in Scribe’s lower right-hand corner. From there, enter your HubSpot account number and click authenticate.
A new window will open. Log into HubSpot and click “Authorize” to allow Scribe Online to use your data. Once done, head back to the Scribe Online connector setup, wait for the status to say “Authentication Complete. Click OK to validate and save the connection. Click the “TEST” button to test the connection. On success, click “OK.”
To integrate HubSpot contacts with ON24, you’ll need to create custom contact properties. We suggest you add customer contact properties for each list you want to create in HubSpot: Registered, Attended and Attended On-Demand. We’ve also found including Last Webinar Registered/Attended is beneficial.
The ON24/HubSpot integration allows you to push data fields from ON24 to HubSpot. Ask your Customer Success Manager for the full list of fields found in the ON24 Data spreadsheet. Our suggested fields to push include:
Create Active lists and use the ON24 Registered, Attended and On-Demand fields to set up your rules for populating active lists. These lists are dynamic and will automatically update when the field is updated. Be aware: you must use the “contains any of” logic when building these lists.
If you have other actions you would like to perform after a contact registers, attends a webinar or if you have a restricted number of active lists available, consider creating an Enrollment Trigger. Simply create Static Lists for each ON24 data field and create a workflow using the ON24 fields as enrollment triggers (use “contains” in the filter criteria). Add the static lists to the workflow and complete the workflow with any additional actions.
To post registrant data to ON24, you’ll need to create a webhook. Create a HubSpot workflow and add an action that includes “Trigger a Webhook.” In the webhook setup, select the POST Method. This will send a POST request (submit data) to a specified URL.
Once set up, collect the “eventid” and “key” from your ON24 Audience URL. For example, if http://event.on24.com/wcc/r/xxxxx/yyyyy is the URL, then “xxxxx” and “yyyyy” are the eventid and key, respectively. Enter the ON24 Webhook Handler URL in this format: https://event.on24.com/custom/client/hubspot/jsonreg.jsp?eventid=xxxxx&key=yyyyy
