What Is Text?

The Text engagement tool within the ON24 Intelligent Engagement Platform enables organizers to display written content inside the Audience Console during a webinar or virtual conference. Text can include instructions, speaker notes, links to resources, event details, or any relevant messaging that enhances the attendee experience.

The Text tool acts as a flexible communication panel that can be customized in size, placement, and style. It supports a variety of use cases and appears alongside other interactive elements featured on the webinar capabilities page.

Why It Matters

Clear communication significantly improves attendee engagement and satisfaction. The Text tool allows presenters and producers to deliver important information without interrupting the flow of the presentation. This includes providing directions, summarizing agenda items, displaying key points, or highlighting calls to action.

Text windows also support accessibility by offering written reinforcement of spoken content. Additionally, they help standardize the viewer experience across live, simu-live, and on-demand sessions. This aligns well with broader content strategy principles described on the Propel Your Pipeline page.

How It’s Used

  • Session Instructions: Organizers use the Text tool to share instructions on how to participate in the webinar, such as how to use Q&A, participate in polls, or download resources.
  • Agenda Display: Text windows can outline the session structure, helping attendees understand what topics will be covered.
  • Reminders And CTAs: Producers may display calls to action, such as encouraging attendees to complete surveys or explore additional content.
  • Accessibility Support: Written notes can reinforce spoken messages, especially for attendees who prefer reading or have audio limitations.
  • On-Demand Enhancements: Text windows help maintain clarity for viewers watching replay versions, guiding them through the content experience. Examples of enhanced on-demand experiences can be found on the Upcoming Webinars page.

Key Benefits

  • Flexible Placement: Can appear anywhere in the Audience Console layout.
  • Supports Engagement: Reinforces messaging and calls to action.
