Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the insurance provider had to cancel all of its in-person events. “To be in dialogue with our customers is critical to our whole business, so it was pretty clear we needed to find a solution for this,” the company’s event project manager said.

The company now uses ON24 for all public facing events. For example, the organization has an upcoming digital experience focused on a specific type of insurance. “This event will feature speakers from the pharma industry, injury insurance, primary insurance, transport and logistics,” the senior project manager said.
With ON24, the insurance provider can have follow-up contact with digital experience attendees and registrants who are unable to attend its live events. The software automatically sends an email saying “Thank you for attending” or “Sorry you missed the event” with a link to the on-demand version so each recipient can watch it at their convenience.
“We also have follow-ups where we ask, how did you like the experience, both from a technical and content perspective? What were you missing? How our audience feels about the presenters is very important to us. At the end of each webcast is a survey with questions,” the senior project manager said.

ON24 enables this insurance company to reach a larger global audience. “We have one innovation event that, until last year, was always in-person. So, only people in our city could attend. Since we implemented ON24, we have the opportunity to reach people all over the world,” the event project manager said.
Digital events, rather than in-person events, enable the organization to secure top tier speakers who took part in the company’s security conference. Since he wasn’t using the time to travel, he could participate by video.
“Speakers are more available now than they used to be because they were spending a lot of time in airplanes and at airports. Now, we can just get them on the call. We have more possibilities and it doesn’t cost extra,” the senior project manager said.
Even after pandemic-related travel restrictions are lifted, this insurance provider plans to use a hybrid virtual and in-person event format, continuing to leverage the power of digital experiences.
