Connecting Job Seekers and Employers Globally

With diverse operations across print, television and online media outlets, Sanoma Media Budapest (SMB) is one of Hungary’s top media companies. Affiliate Profession.hu, the country’s leading employment portal, is a member of The Network, a formal alliance of 49 leading recruitment job boards in more than 120 countries. SMB needed a scalable virtual career fair solution to reach a large global audience while providing a world-class end user experience and high visibility for sponsors.

SOLUTION:

SMB’s Virtual Career Fair

To reliably reach a large audience, SMB selected the ON24 Virtual Show solution for its semi-annual career event. Featuring a virtual exhibit hall and employer booths, the Virtual Career Fair, or Profession Virtuális Állásbörze, offered video presentations from employers, enabled online chats between job seekers and hiring companies, and facilitated document sharing and exchange.

End users were enabled to present their CVs/resumes instantly to recruiters within the virtual show environment. In addition, the job fair was made available 24 hours per day for three days.

RESULTS:

World’s Largest and Most Successful Online Career Fair

Working with ON24’s skilled implementation team, SMB executed the world’s largest-ever online career fair. With more than 21,000 attendees, the event achieved an unprecedented registrant-to-attendee conversion rate of 88%. Nearly 100,000 online visits and 90,000 document exchanges took place in the virtual environment, supporting the recruitment goals of some 30 sponsors.
