MEDIA ALERT: How Do Your Webinars Compare?

May 30th, 2013

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — May 30, 2013 — ON24, the global leader in webcasting and virtual communication solutions, recently published its annual benchmarks report, a definitive webinar performance guide. It provides a fascinating look at how ON24 customers plan and promote their webcasts. A summary of key findings:

    • Webcast attendees procrastinate. Some 64% register the week of a live webinar. And webcast producers should always do a “day of event” promotion blast to get last-minute registrants, as 21% register the day of the webinar.

    • TGIF! Send promotional emails on Tuesdays, since people register on Tuesdays more than any other day—and more than twice as many as on Fridays.

    • Thinking bi-coastal. Most ON24 webinars start at 11 a.m. Pacific Time, indicating that most customers choose a time that is convenient for both coasts, thereby increasing registration and attendance.

  • Anytime viewing. On-demand viewership is growing. ON24 benchmark data show that an average of 25% of those who registered for a webinar prior to the live date viewed the archived version of the event.
