Sales/Business Development Manager, (APAC)
JOB SUMMARY
The Sales/Business Development Manager is responsible for establishing, developing, and closing business opportunities with key accounts and channel partners. This is a new high profile position that will be responsible for the sales territory of Asean, China, Korea and Japan. The position requires dynamic, confident and energetic senior level sales person with experience in selling to F500 accounts and channel partners.
JOB ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand the account plans and the sales strategy, provide consultative product and solution expertise.Support account team work along the sales cycle : customer engagement, bidding phase, business planning, negotiations, customer delivery and management
- Focus on driving profitable sales and channel development in Asia. Take a strong hands-on approach in managing key partner relationships and new business development.
- Manage and develop business within personal sales territory – meet/exceed quota targets. Identify lead sources, prepare and present proposals, and sell appropriate solutions to c-level and VP-level executives within targeted market segments.
- Identify trends and customer requirements for the development of new products and services and work closely with the development teams to commercially optomise opportunities arising from new product development.
- Identify, quantify, and recommend action plan to address new business opportunities consistent with overall strategy.
- Provide feedback to executive management on market conditions and competitive environment.
- Interface internally with Sales, Engineering and other relevant parts of ON24’s organization
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Proven business development record and sales management ability
- 2+ years of direct management experience of both inside and outside sales teams.
- 8+ years of experience selling technology solutions.
- A Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Good background, understanding and knowledge of SAAS solutions
- Basic understanding of virtual event, rich media, webcast technologies is a plus.
- Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem.
- Excellent in communication, presentation, listening and negotiating skills in English is required. Additional languages such as Mandarin and Japanese a plus.
